The Erotic as Power

Sovereignty and Seduction is a weekend workshop that helps women connect to their true sensual and erotic nature. The workshop is my passion project and after a year away, I'll be back this September co-leading with Hannah Abend in London.
I’m so damn passionate about this work because every woman who attends the weekend comes alive – a spark inside of them is lit to their most powerful, a freedom is unleashed.
Their Erotic is awake.
In the brilliant Erotic as Power Audre Lorde writes:
'Our erotic knowledge empowers us, becomes a lens through which we scrutinize all aspects of our existence…And this is a responsibility, projected from within each of us, not to settle for the convenient, the shoddy, the conventionally accepted, nor the merely safe.’
Yet, sadly…
'Every oppression in our history must corrupt or distort the sources of power within the culture of the oppressed that can provide energy for change. For women, this has meant a suppression of the erotic as a source of our power and information within our lives. Suppression of the erotic has been vilified and abused and devalued within western society. The superficially erotic has been encouraged as a sign of our inferiority. Women have been made to suffer and to feel contemptible by virtue of its existence…We have been raised to fear the Yes within ourselves, our deepest cravings.'
You’re telling me, Audre.
As women, we need to examine the ways in which our world can be truly different. The very word 'erotic' comes from the Greek word Eros, the personification of love in all aspects, born out of Chaos and personifying creative power and harmony.
We invite you to join us in bringing back the erotic – to bring back the sensuality, the joy, the love of pleasure for pleasure’s sake, the deep intuitive wisdom and connection to self, the sense of fullness and power of your Yes and your true desire.
