Electric Motherhood

I found motherhood challenging from the start, from the trauma in my birth, to feeling confused about motherhood and what it meant to me. Becoming a mother, was a huge change in lifestyle, and for someone who is a perfectionist, I was floored by the surrender of it all. I felt a sense of loss of myself. I was angry at my husband most of the time, I didn’t know what real support I needed - or how to ask for it.

I craved a space where I could talk about my experience, not in the ‘I’m so tired and exhausted way’ or talking about ‘the colour of the baby’s poo way’, but where I could talk about my birth story, my emotions, my fears, the sacred moments of connecting with my baby, how my identity was evolving, how motherhood was impacting my work, how I felt about my career… Instead, I pretended I was fine and got on with it, even though inside, there was so much noise.

My vision for Electric Woman is to connect women to their most wise, grounded and inspired selves. I wanted this now that I was a mother and to understand how my new role could truly empower my life. I’d had a dream of creating ‘Electric Motherhood’ as a coaching circle for women to offer a space to go deeper into our truth, and to feel conscious and empowered in our unique journey as mothers.

Rachel Rowland, a Co-Active coach and Electric Woman Ambassador who has worked with mothers for five years had spoken to me in the past about the power of the Matriarch. Her vision for mothers is that they deeply know their strength, as imperfect, intuitive and authentic leaders. It’s a vision which holds all humans equally - man, woman and child - regardless of gender or family grouping we need to find our own way to live peacefully and lead powerfully.

Now, I am working with Rachel to bring Electric Motherhood to life.

On April 8th, we will lead the first Electric Motherhood coaching circle. It’s an 8-week virtual coaching programme and there are 12 spaces available. We hope that each woman who joins us will experience the deep peace and confidence that comes with sharing their experiences in a supportive and dynamic group, to champion one-another. That they feel empowered in their unique journey and that they see the great value in motherhood and all that it brings to their lives. This is an important and profound transformation for every woman. And to be grounded in our ‘Electric’ as mothers feels truly exciting and liberating.

Book your place here.

We hope you can join us!
